*European Commission divides South Eastern Europe*
*Visa regime discriminates victims of Srebrenica genocide*
We note with great concern the current policy for South Eastern Europe of the European Commission. The visa policy for the successor states of the former Yugoslavia risks to create two classes of citizens in South Eastern Europe, based on ethnicity.
We welcome, that visafree travel should be granted to citizens of Montenegro, Macedonia and Serbia as of 1...
“Looking at the results of the EP elections, there is one clear message” states the President of JEF Europe (Young European Federalists) Samuele Pii, “the low participation shows that European citizens haven't been given an opportunity to have a say on the future of the EU. We blame the main European political parties for turning their backs on a real transnational campaign, based on European issues and failing to propose true political projects for Europe to the voters", Pii continues.

European citizens are currently voting for the European Parliament.
"Are they really aware of the visions of Europe their candidates have to offer? Are they really aware of the European Commission President their candidates are going to elect?" - these are the questions raised by the President of the Young European Federalists [JEF-Europe], Samuele Pii.
"The participation in the European elections is still based on national matters and citizens are not aware that there is only one option on...
Last night, over 110 cities across Europe and worldwide, from Oslo to Istanbul, from Lisbon to Vilnius as well as in Dubai, Mexico, Pretoria and New York took to the streets against Lukashenko's unjust Belarus dictatorship, demanding a European Foreign Policy.
Activists across the continent gagged statues – symbolically preventing them from speaking freely – much like the current situation for many Belarusian citizens and leaders of democracy and oppositions movements.

The European Youth Forum, the Party-Political Youth Organisations and the Young European Federalists ask for a truly European debate during the EP Elections Campaign in order to allow the citizens to choose their candidates to key positions in the EU.
As young Europeans, sharing a vision of Europe based on the values of democracy, peace, human rights, solidarity, freedom and sustainable development, we recognise the success of European integration, but we stress that we can successfully face...
PSE Congress de facto supports Christian Democrat Barroso thus pre-emptying the choice for President of European Commission before the results of the upcoming European Parliament elections.
JEF-Europe condemns the position taken by the governments of some Member States of the European Union, including Italy and Poland, on the reduction of the CO2 emissions and the energy consumption as well as the promotion of renewable sources of energy by 2020 (20-20-20). These positions aim to hinder the implementation of a decision unanimously taken in March 2007 by the European Council. Moreover, these governments threaten to use their veto right even if the matter is clearly submitted to a...
Following the provocative yet successful 'I want my flag back' Action sparked by JEF Europe (Young European Federalists) in response to the watering down of the symbols in the Lisbon Treaty last December, the Federalist youth have re-launched the campaign for the strengthening of European symbols through the European Olympic Team campaign ˆ www.euolympics.eu.
The initiative aims to demonstrate the strength of European sport by counting together the European Union medals and supporting the...
JEF - Europe heard with sorrow of the tragic end to Bronislaw Geremek's life yesterday in a car accident. Activist, Solidarnosc leader, Polish Foreign Minister and MEP, Geremek was one of Poland's most respected statesmen and an emblematic figure of Poland's fight for democracy.
"Our thoughts at this time are with Geremek's family." reacted JEF - Europe President Samuele Pii. "We present them, and particularly his two sons, with our most heartfelt sympathies. Europe as a whole mourns with...
